I use a Linksys 802.11b router, with direct Ethernet connections to a Server G4 running OS 10.3.5, a PowerMac 9600/G3 running OS 9.1, and a PowerBook 3400c running OS 9.1, as well as wireless connections to several other Macintosh and Windows desktops and laptops.. Even though Linksys products are not particularly Mac-friendly, they all work well with no problems.
I use an Asant FR3004LC that has been working great with multiple Macs using many different OS's..... Easy hook up from the incoming and just plug and play anytime for my OS X laptop.....
