Hi all,

I have a G3 Beige Desktop powermac. I would like to add a scsi drive.
It has a connection at the back of the motherboard for a 50 pin scsi. I
have a slot available just above the Zip drive and next to the floppy
drive. What is the largest drive I can use? Can I use a later 68 or 80
pin drive with an adapter? There is not much room so I wonder if this
is possible.

AFAIK, you can go up to 120gigs on that (though remember, you're still constrained to the 8gigs-on-first-partition-for-boot-drive rule on a beige). Maybe more if you partition - others here should be able to give you a more definitive answer. Yes, you should be able to use it with an adapter. There should be enough room, unless the adapter is ridiculously large.
