I think you'll find the B&W G3 to be limiting. I have a B&W G3 that, after much debate I upgraded from 450MHz to 1.1GHz utilizing PowerLogix upgrades. Then I loaded the system up with a gig of ram, and a ATI Radeon 9200 Mac Edition (Their PCI Card). Loaded 10.3.8 onto it, gave it a 7200RPM Hard drive with a 16MB buffer. And I still found it to be lacking in WarCraft III, or loading Microsoft Word, or browsing the web. On the other hand: I have a Sawtooth which I am in the process of upgrading, but when it was just mine, at only 400MHz it still felt faster than my 1.1GHz B&W, that was only in the GUI and Safari, I never benched it, or loaded WarCraft III. I'm sure it would have not of been as performancey as the B&W but the SawTooth has more potential! and thats what matters here. Do you want a system that will be at the very bottom of Apple's pile as far as the system is "technically" concerned? or would you like a system that you could, if you wanted to, upgrade to a dual 1.8GHz (or faster?) monster? Right now you can pick up a Sawtooth for 200 - 300 bucks I think it's well worth the cost given the potential. Maybe your not like me, maybe your not driven to "hot-rod" computers to the brink of their potential. Me thats all I care about, all of my disposable income is spent toward upgrades of that fashion. I've been down the B&W road, and I say, that if I was to try it again, it would not be satisfying, especially when compared to what you can accomplish with the Sawtooth.
