Crucial sells memory that is guaranteed to be compatible with the B&W. 
So, instead of paying extra for their RAM, I got the specs and checked the
local places.  As long as the memory fits this spec, it should work in the
B&W:

* Configuration: 32Meg x 64

Here is the common way of expressing the RAM used:

PC100 � CL=2 � Unbuffered � Non-parity � 100MHz � 3.3V � 32Meg x 64

I'd almost bet that the RAM in the machine isn't the right density (the
32x64).  I know the memory I picked up from one of the local shops is
working perfectly in my B&W.
