One more thought on the matter, it is possible to install OS X on a HD
using a machine which works fine and then transfer the HD over to the
machine which won't boot the CD. I've done this for both beige and B&W
machines. My copy of Jag is on a DVD and I don't have DVD drives in
every computer, so I temp install the HD I want to put into whatever
computer and install OS X. Swap the HD back into the computer it was
intended for and viola, instant OS X!
