One thing I forgot to mention before: whenever I try booting with the C
key held down, the computer will attempt to boot from the CD,seem to
fail, then boot OS 9 instead. I can already tell that this attempt is

I thought that when trying to install OS X.2 on a machine you had to
follow the progression course and start with 9.2.2 then X.1 then X.1.2
then X.1.5 then X.2..........plus all of the security updates that were
separate from the Os install...... just a thought.
