This is the only solution you could come up with: trash the ram, how about sending the ram back and getting it replaced or getting her money back. Just my opinion mind you. I don't believe it was luck on my part getting ram from OWC that I have had no problems with, I researched the ram, just as I did my 1GHZ processor from OWC, as well as the sata controller card I got from them. You see we all have our reliable vendors we go to and use the majority of the time, but what works for one person may not work for another. Anyway, happy computing. Brad
