Hello, I have successfully used an ancient teardrop microphone and the speakers of a slightly less ancient 15" Apple Multiple Scan display together with a WS Series II running 10.3.9 and Gizmo (free calls between users). Another way to talk free is using Gizmo's party line at a designated time. (Skype is also free between users.)
Excellent sound, but you pay for voice mail and other extras, such as accessing landlines.
