Some time ago, I spilled a glass of wine on a keyboard. At first I thought there was no problem, but next morning it was a disaster.

I took it apart and found the dried wine had stuck a lot of things together. Remembering some advice I got about keyboards being fairly robust, I took all the parts to the bathroom and hosed them down with the handheld shower head. Let all the parts dry and swabbed everything down with alcohol, reassembled it and its worked perfectly for the last two years.

Not recommending you try this, but offering it as a =possible= course of action.

I spilled some water on my newish Apple keyboard. It is the white ones I believe they are still selling. Anyway, I got water on it, and only the down and left keys work. I took it apart, dried 99 percent of it, put it back together, still doesnt work. I am about to go try again and really clean it.
But if someone knew specifically what was wrong that would help a lot.
BTW, whats with the USB extender it comes with that has a notch in it? Why is Apple doing this? I wanted to use the extender for my Apple mouse in
the meantime but I cant, all because of a notch which serves no purpose
whatsoever. Seriously, why, why why?

Thanks
