However, I believe Chris lives in the same part of the country as I do and we 
haven't had any clear, warm sunshine for two weeks. Mostly a lot of humid 
rain and drizzle and it is supposed to continue at least through Sunday and 
then 
it gets colder--if we're lucky!

Still, your point is well taken. A completely dry keyboard is essential. 
Perhaps putting it in an oven at very low heat will accomplish the same result. 
Tend to think his keyboard should have dried out by now with or without the 
sun??

I've tried washing [ADB] keyboards with water and drying them out. In my 
experience, some times it works and sometime it doesn't.

Haven't tried washing an USB keyboard -- yet.
