Another way, if it's only water is to place the keyboard out in the Sun for
a day, it
will dry out and everything will be Okay. >>

Good thought,

However, I believe Chris lives in the same part of the country as I do and we haven't had any clear, warm sunshine for two weeks. Mostly a lot of humid rain and drizzle and it is supposed to continue at least through Sunday and then
it gets colder--if we're lucky!

I'm sorry, living in San Jose, Ca where the sun shines almost all of the time (we only worry about Earth Quakes) I tend to forget that it's that time of year when the sun isn't always around.

Still, your point is well taken. A completely dry keyboard is essential. Perhaps putting it in an oven at very low heat will accomplish the same result.

Putting the keyboard into the oven should work, just got to be sure that it doesn't get over about 70-80 degrees in there or there will be more trouble. About 3-4 hours should be long enough.

I would try drying the keyboard out before I'd try taking it apart. It's much easier and you don't take the chance of braking something and making it a throwaway.

Tend to think his keyboard should have dried out by now with or without the sun??

I've tried washing [ADB] keyboards with water and drying them out. In my
experience, some times it works and sometime it doesn't.

Haven't tried washing an USB keyboard -- yet.

Just my 2 cents, --glen (digest)
