Its not the time to it takes to burn a DVd ist time it takes to encde
the Video to get to the time to burn.
On G4 Sawtooth with 1.5 gig of ram and 1.1 Processor and 105 Super
drive 1 hour Video it should take about 8 hours
That is why I went ahead and bought G5 it takes 20 min on dual 1.8

The Pioneer 105 DVD-RW drive takes apox 12-15 min to burn a full
DVD disk using DVD x 4 media. So if it takes over night don't
blame it on the DVD burner! Software or a too slow CPU is the
likely reason. So buying the fastest DVD burner isn't going to be
the fix your hoping for. Will S

processor.
She uses iDVD & Tiger. So why can't I blame the drive?
OK, I exaggerated with the word 'overnighter'. It still takes HOURS
to burn one DVD.
One thing I could have her change next time she burns DVD - to
choose the max rated speed.
I was told (or read somewhere) that selecting a speed LESS than
max gives you the best results and
minimizes corruption. Did I get this right? Go ahead and laugh.
