Is there a tried and true way for Macs on 10.4 to surf completely

probing individual. My set-up is a cable modem that goes to a Linksys
router with three Mac computers connected.
There is no way to use Internet and not be visible to other systems.
Internet Protocol (IP) communicates via IP address, so for any computer
(such as a web server) to communicate with yours, that computer must
know your IP address.
Every method of going anonymous or cloaking that I have looked into
seem to have holes in them. Is paying for a good proxy server the only
answer? What about Mac software solutions. JAP has been recommended
but then I've seen controversy that it's funded by the German
government and had built-in tracking software discovered by some code
busters a few years back:

Anyone on this list have any recommendations in this area?

Anonymizers will do the trick, but then the anonymizer still knows your
IP address (see earlier explanation about IP communications). There is
no way to be 100% stealthy about it, but you can use an anonymizer to
browse somewhat anonymously - well, anonymously from the web servers
you are browsing. (But again, the web server knows the IP address of
the anonymizer, and if logs are kept on the anonymizer server, they can
be matched to the web server logs, and you can still be tracked down
that way.) The only way to be 100% undetectable is to stay offline and
never go online.
