I don't know, and don't presently have the ability to do this experiment. 
The boot CDs are both OS 9, and my old boxed-up 7200/120 is my only other 
Mac with a CD-ROM drive...and not enough memory to run OS 9 (even if a 
7200 could at all, which I don't think it can). And, I don't have another 
CD drive to attach to my G3.... But, thanks for the suggestion. Maybe the 
end of the month I'll be able to at least try another CD drive.
