Be sure a 7200 can run OS 9.1 .
But that has nothing to do with solving your problem. You only need the 7200
to see if he can read your CD's, installing is not needed.
So in case the 7200 will give the same message ("This disk is unreadable by
this Computer. Would you like to initialize?") there is perhaps something
wrong with your CD's. But not likely. For having a "bad" CD, the CD-drive
will "spit" the CD out or you even don't see anything about on your screen.
(BTW, did you try restarting the G3 (with CD in!) holding Command + Option +
Shift + Delete at Start up = Forces start up drive to go off-line and start
up off another drive with blessed system??).
In case the 7200 will mount the CD on DT you may be sure the CD-drive of
your G3 "has some rotten parts".
