It happened to me, too, when I placed my DT mobo into a tower, & forgot temporarily about the jumper switchover, with much alarm & consternation, thinking that I had fried my board, until I remembered -- after I had put the board back in the DT case & powered up to establish that it still worked. (The jumper is left of the PCI slots, looking from the front of the case, & has "PS/2" & "Mac" next to it. You want it to be on "PS/2")>
This upgrade attempt did not involve changing out the motherboard, only the processor, so how would that be possible? He didn't forget to jumper the processor. However, since as far as I know, the NEXT operation WILL involve putting a MT mobo into my DT -- I will call my bf tonight to warn him about this and forward him your email.
