Removing that card is one of the things I would try first. Second I would make sure that only one memory module is installed, preferably the one which came with the Mac, because sometimes out of spec memory can cause strange things. You can put 'em back when you're done installing the OS, nine out of ten times they will still work fine. >> ------------------ Thanks Marc, good advice. I'll try pulling the card. This rev 1 B & W was brought used so I'm not sure what memory came with the machine.
