I HATED that part of Finder. All it did was take up screen real
estate.
Anyone who doesn't even know what programs he's running probably
shouldn't
be operating a computer.
And for switching between programs, use command-tab. Couldn't be
simpler.
It took no space up at all unless you tore it off... And it is also
just false about who should and should not be operating a computer.
Why should the terminally forgetful have to go digging ditches or
jumping off cliffs? Yes, well, that command tab was a big secret
until old Dan Draney let the cat out of the bag! I wish all these
secrets would not be so tightly held by you fellers...
