Hi Pablo,
I'm running Panther (10.3.9) on an iBook G3-500 and it's just great.
I expected a little performance hit over Jaguar, but it seems to run
faster. Installed Tiger on my B&W (G4-450) and, again, expected to
see a bit of a slowdown, but apart from startup seeming a little
slower, I can't see any performance difference between Panther and
Tiger. FWIW, I'm planning to install Tiger on my iBook.
