Dead pram battery can cause all kinds of problems. Wrong time is the

Won't work. SCSI deals with low level OS system routines.

USB cards are written generically. Most will work in Macs and pcs.

Trust me, you will enjoy being a Mac tech more. Very few problems 
(relative to the windows word) are caused by software.

Just want to learn the Mac? Save your shekels up for a G4 AGP system, 
well under $200.
