[G] Why won't Classic launch?

The last thing I am stumped by is: Since I went to Panther Classic will 
not launch, even though I have rebuilt the desktop and repaired 
permissions. Sad to say I still need it at least once more. Do I have 
to re-install 9 (I hope not) or what?
