Evening all,

I replaced the stock CD-ROM drive in my Rev.B B&W G3 with a DL-DVD-RW from OWC

Can I put the original CD drive in the ZIP drive bay? I don't use the ZIP drive and probably never will

I would need / want to find a spring-loaded drive door to keep appearances neat

If I did this, would my G3 - with RAM upgraded to 512MB and running OS X 10.4.4 - be able to handle DVD-burning and CD importing into iTunes at the same time?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure that while the face plate looks like that of a 5.25" drive bay... the drive bay that the zip disk is in is actually a 3.5" drive bay. It would take a good bit of work to make it hold a second 5.25" drive there. You may want to consider looking into FireWire or USB 2.0 drive enclosures instead.
