My Samsung SyncMaster 225 cost about $375 over two years ago from Newegg.

The successors which are better cost at least $100 less these days.

Besides, if you ever put a Viewsonic next to a Samsung, there's no 
comparison.

Doesn't Samsung still make most of Apple's monitors?  Didn't Apple sink 
$100 million into Samsung awhile back?
