I think of tenpin alley as a fairly good bowling game for blind players,
whether against others or alone. With the proper sound card and settings, I
suppose that it could be played in a voice chat room, which would be a way
to play it online.
Mississippi can be played this way also, with one of the players acting as
the host, performing the wishes of the other players as they dictate through
the use of their mike.

Subject: Re: [Audyssey] social event versus mechanics
Hi charlse.
I agree Ten pin alley is a social game, however interestingly enough that
was the very reason I didn't buy it, sinse I don't really get chance to
play audio games with people at the same computer very often (when my
friends turn up we do tabeltop rp), and thus for me the main fun of games
is as a single player and I just felt the single player experience of Ten
Pin Alley wasn't really enough to warrent me buying the game.
Another example is Mississippi. again, it looked a nice game to play with
other people at the same machine, but with no computer opponents the
single player game just didn't seem much fun.
I hadn't actually thought of this before, but it is entirely possible that
for some people, maybe even quite a few people, games that are purely!
social and have less to offer a solo player (including games with computer
opponentns), might actually be something of a turn off.
Beware the grue!
