Yes, it is. However, all of the jump functions share some elements of 
each other, and it is possible the same function that caused jump up to 
act strange is causing jump left and right to act strange as well.
The code that actually does the leap upwards is shared among all the 
jump commands and that is where I am going to start looking. Though, 
apparently it could be the land() function that is at fault because it 
isn't bringing the player down to the ground.
