it was implicitly mentioned as part of all other discovery mechanisms
proposed (own multicast protocol, dhcp extension, etc).

do you have any code we could base of for this integration with ganglia?, some
suggestions you might have from other similar work or experiences you went
through while integrating some other system with zeroconf/bonjour?

as Daniel mentioned it could be made available as one of the modular
mechanisms for discovery but it doesn't seem to be a solution for the
configuration management part of it, at least for the few I know about it.
