I would remind you that ND didn't have the bigger bucks when they were
competing against UF for Meyer.

If he does go to Penn State or Ohio State I don't think I'll mind. He's
already stated he isn't going to be as involved in coaching as he was at
Florida.

So, they can have him. If. they really get him.

Come to think of it, Woody, I could probably take a job that stressed me out
and threatened my health for $4 million a year. 5 or 6 years of that and
ol' Jed retires into obscurity.

well as one radio talking head pointed out................ if these rumors
are true.. then he's bought real estate in about 10 different states in the
last few months.

And lets keep in mind... that ND is not doing all that well.. and ND is very
very impatient... and we know that ND is UM's dream job.

and it will be an interesting bidding war between PSU and OSU... but if ND
comes into the picture... ND wins.. they have the bigger bucks.

Here's a link to a rumor about Urban Meyer purchasing real estate in State

I hope this isn't true, because I will lose a tremendous amount of respect
for Urban Meyer. He did great things at UF, 2 NC's, but the last 12-18
months he mailed it in and left us with a roster short on numbers.

He cited health and family issues for his departure, I was willing to give
him a pass on the last 12-18 months based on his stated reason for leaving
and the 2 NC's.

But if he takes the Penn State job, less than 1 year after leaving UF, given
the mess they are in and their desire to win I can only conclude that he
skipped out on UF knowing the roster was shorthanded.

I don't want to believe Urban Meyer departed using less than truthful
reasons, but if he takes the Penn State or Ohio State job if it comes open
then I will have no choice.
