Let's not underestimate the effect our releases have in terms of PR and how much GCC actually is in need of PR. I know (us) engineers are generally not too fond of marketing, but it's more important than one might think. My suggestion would be that we support the RMs by helping them create such announcements; for example, they could post them to our mailing list and review/update them here.
