Great work. I assume this is all done for GCL 2.7.0 in recent commits on Git.
How about the building of GCL 2.6.15 in your macOS 10.13 VM?

I'm investigating the existing port definitions of the "gcl" package in MacPorts
(current version is 2.6.14). I hope to submit the merge request soon for both
GCL 2.6 and 2.7, e.g. the new package "gcl" is for 2.7, and "gcl26" is for GCL 
2.6.
