Heat rocks are dangerous, sorry for the bad news! They are cheaply made, can
burn your geckos, develop hot spots, and burn your house down. Not worth the
risk. In an aquarium a good quality heating pad or tape such as those sold by
the Bean Farm http://www.beanfarm.com can be used safely, however, you need to
have pretty cold room conditions to justify the use of one of these and a heat
lamp. Usually the heat lamp is the safest deal for aquariums.

It is ok and good for temps to drop at night for leopards.
