Sorry for the misunderstanding... I wasn't talking
about heat rocks... but heating rocks with a heat
lamp....

What would a "pretty cold room" temps have to be for
UTHs?

Mine have a UTH in their "warm" side that stays on
24/7 as well as the red light heat lamp over them,
shining down on a piece of black slate... but they
have a cold side to the tank as well with wood caves,
to moderate their body temps if they get too warm....
is this okay?
