Hi, Last week I got a Pictus gecko (Paroedura pictus), also known as Panther, Ocelot geckos, Madagascar Ground, Big-headed geckos. I've read all the caresheets I can find, but as usual, I still want to know more about my new gecko...
She seems very shy. From what I've read, it seems they are quite vulnerable to stress, so I've been leaving her to settle in, just picking up her hides to check she's ok morning and night, and feeding/watering her. But, apart from that I rarely see her. Will she just take a while to settle in, or should I expect to rarely see her? Also, I'm sure I've heard her, on two occasions make a high pitched squeak (a bit like that of a bird of prey), she was in her hide on both occasions. Is this normal?, does anyone know what it means? I've found a reasonable number of caresheets on the web, but they are all quite basic. Anyone know of any great Pictus sites?
