Per Stuart's request, I used the new installation CD to install gEDA and friends on a machine. The CD successfully compiled/installed the entire suite on a SuSE 9.2 Professional installation without incident.
My only suggestion is that in the INSTALL.suse file, I think it might be wise to implicitely state the user needs to install glib 1.2.10 and gtk 1.2.10. SuSE 9.2 does not ship with either glib 1.x or gtk 1.x so even if the user installs all things glib, gdk and gtk as per the instructions, some apps would not compile. Further, this addition would maintain parity between the dependencies listed on the download page at: http://www.geda.seul.org/download.html and the installation notes on the CD.
