Paul, thats excellent news. Except for the few probs you have had
(which I hope are temporary, as you say) it is just what I hoped to
hear.

Yes. please to your kind offer of all the settings. Would you mind
listing them on this ML for all to see? Exclude your actual login and
password of course.

For me, its just a case of plucking up the courage to change phone
companies.

I use WorldOnLine at the moment - also a much better deal than BT,
also providing unmetered 24-hour Internet calls. The cost is 15pm
all-in, plus telephone call charges (excluding internet calls to the
ISP, which are not charged for). The !15pm covers both the 24-hour
free ISP calls deal and the telephone line rental, which is extremely
cheaper than I'd have to pay BT for the same service. Tel calls are
also 10% below BT's call charges.

WorldOnLine's ISP is still 'screaming.net'. Embarrassingly stupid
name. One-time dead duck of an ISP (900bps etc). Now, it is superb.
Regularly rated 2nd or 3rd best by Internet mags out of all the
several hundred UK ISPs.

So why change to NTL?

Because I'm never satisfied with what I've got. One of my worst
character defects, that! The NTL deal is simply even better than
WorldOnLine, with the cheaper-still price and the extra TV channels.

I'll think about it for a bit longer I reckon, but I'd still like to
know your Genisys settings, please, so that I can file them away until
I need them later maybe.

Also, I'd be really grateful if you would keep this ML posted of any
occasional further developments, problems and/or solutions with your
Genisys to NTL connection over the next few months.

Many thanks for your help m8.

John
