Please top with the bullshit, thank you very much. You are playing on words and becoming aggressive. I was, indeed, not 'pointing out' but rather suggesting... and maybe it wasn't clear but I wasn't writing about who develops it but rather who uses and benefits from it. I believe we all agree that ffmpeg being part of Gentoo, me caring about it, makes it fall under Gentoo QA umbrella which in turns benefits the whole community... > > I am using it, > > Gentoo is using it, some upstreams are using it, and all of them > > would benefit from a tinderbox run. > > And all of them are invited to either decide to let me decide how to > spend my time and dime, or actually pay me for said time. > > > What scandalizes me is that you put my work for Gentoo in the same > > bag as this silly ffmpeg/libav war. > > I haven't. It's all your right. So is mine to point out you are refusing to help me in my gentoo work because you hate upstream of the package I'm working on. I feel sad for being sent to one side of this silly war just because I'm happy with ffmpeg and want to provide the alternative (*) to our users... [...] (*) Alternative which I indeed still consider superior. This may change in the future. Alexis.
