I still think that for any names exposed to users we should in general stick to lowercase. Converting the name to uppercase for SRC_URI etc. should be trivial, especially in EAPI 6 where bash's case conversion operators are available. The ebuild has to be written only once, while users will type the package name many times. Ulrich
