After some fiddleing got the sasl2 libs to play along and has been running excellent ever since. smtp & secure-smtp by using postfix secure imap by using courier-imap-ssl And webmail with horde-imp. spamassassin & clam-av integrated. Most of the users use either thunderbird or iMail (apple) to connect, no reported problems for over 1,5 years. Capable of serving out quite a lot of imap data as well. My own mailbox is currently holding > 200Mb of mail. I'm currenly using kontact from the kde-3.4_beta1 ebuild to read my own mail, hardly any problems so far and I can report that the groupware integration stuff kontact features since the 3.4_beta is also working good (so far) Getting sasl libs to play nice was the hardest part in both configurations. The documentation isn't that clear on which daemon to use and where the actual configuration files for postfix+sasl should go. I also found the differences between sasl2 & sasl1 confusing and not all that clearly documented. In the end I remember figuring it out by starting relevant sasl + postfix/courier daemons in debug mode and watching the logs. Grtz, Ramon -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] PGPkey id 0xF6B58AE57C02B1AE
