I'm pretty sure some of these tests fail on JDK 6. GT2 is supposed to be built with java 5 (to ensure java 5 compatibility), unfortunately due to a few changes in jdk 6 it does not actually build on it. Atm we don't have the resources to keep it building on both jdk, we need a jdk 6 person that finds the issues, fixes them, and keeps gt2 building on that jdk as well (so, a question of lack of resources). For example Christian is doing an excellent job at providing patches that are making, bit by bit, improve the gt2 building situation on IBM jdk.
