I have only been bitten under three circumstances:
1. Continually putting my hands into a tank with pups in spite of the
overprotective father warning me away.
2. Grabbing an escapee from above and behind while she was distracted
by something else, no doubt she thought she was about to become some
predator's lunch.
3. Breaking up gerbil fights.
