> Have many people on the list been nipped or bitten by their gerbils? >(not including the exploratory mouthing or nibbling) Or is this rare? I have been bitten a couple of times hard enough to draw blood. Twice it occurred while separating fighting gerbils, and three times because the gerbil was in pain and frightened (broken leg). In each case I considered it fully justified.
