Try making just a simple test app like I did. If it still fails,
I'd trash the REALbasic preferences file, and re-install RB.

That "solved the problem"...
RB555 is sometimes erratic...
Now I have some questions about next step : I want my app to receive
a drop from the browser's address field icon (safari on mac os).
Dropping such a website icon onto desktop creates a .webloc document,
so what sort of a file type should I tell the receiving control to
accept in its open event, and how can I handle it ?
