## Summary `MutableArrayData::try_extend_nulls(0)` should be a no-op even when the source array is an empty union. The existing implementation reached union-specific buffer handling for a zero-length extension and could panic when the union had no fields. ## Changes - Return immediately for zero-length null extensions before updating buffers. - Add regression coverage for both sparse and dense empty unions.
