I agree that I'd rather have them take an extra day or two to ship me
a perfect pair of lenses than to rush to get something out to me that
I will only have to send back. I think that 39dollarglasses is in a
difficult situation, where they are trying to keep the customer happy
and in the loop by letting us know where our glasses are in production
(and that feature of the web site is great!), but then when there is a
snag we are disappointed that they won't ship exactly when we had
hoped. However, it's not good not to apologize or fully explain what's
happening to a customer you are speaking with on the phone, though, as
apparently happened to jeminco, above. I think it might be good for
them to set expectations a bit lower when an order is placed, so that
people are happily surprised when things ship earlier than expected.

My glasses shipped out in five days last week, which is really very
reasonable, but still I couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed when
that turned out to be two days later than they had promised at the
start of the production process. :)
