no, I just started it and have not hit the "record" button. Originally it was set to "jack" by default. This caused lots of problems. Somehow, by being patient, I was able to change it to pulseaudio as default audio. Now I can start gmerling_recorder and change some options. I also see the vumeter. I can also record sounds and video. but, it hangs horribly when I muck with any options.
