Momentum, I suspect. A year and a half ago it was nVidia's proprietary drivers or ATI's proprietary drivers, and ATI's sucked an order of magnitude more. And when AMD bought ATI, they discontinued all support for some proprietary-only hardware less than a year old (yes, I owned some). This year, I'm using ATI graphics in an embedded OpenGL project specifically because they're open source-ing and I can redistribute them. But most people probably speak from experience and haven't bought a graphics card very recently. -Bill ----- Bill McGonigle, Owner Work: 603.448.4440 BFC Computing, LLC Home: 603.448.1668 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cell: 603.252.2606 http://www.bfccomputing.com/ Page: 603.442.1833 Blog: http://blog.bfccomputing.com/ VCard: http://bfccomputing.com/vcard/bill.vcf _______________________________________________ gnhlug-discuss mailing list gnhlug-discuss@mail.gnhlug.org http://mail.gnhlug.org/mailman/listinfo/gnhlug-discuss/
