I did not get the emails to [EMAIL PROTECTED] between Ben and
Heather although I am clearly on their CC list. I just wanted you to
know that I am not ignoring them, just having some kind of a problem
either here or at MV. I suspect that others of my mail addresses and
some outgoing have occasionally been dropped also. As you might guess,
it is hard to know when it happens.
Regarding the announcements, has it been decided that an issue 10
days, 7 days, and 1 day before the event is more effective than 7 days
and 1 day? If every gnhLUG event gives 3 announcements, might it start
to border on spam and get ignored.
It seems that when I started the regular announcements a couple
years ago, there was a reasoned discussion regarding how many and when.
Maybe we should review that to see if things have changed.
For my own part, I don't care if they go out every week. But, we
should discuss if there is some optimum that best serves the
organization.
As far as my email problem, any suggestions are appreciated, but
that thread should be moved to "discuss" or Ben-the-Enforcer will get
crabby - which is very much out of character for him.
