The second half of the above sentence is a politically
motivated distortion of the truth. 

As far as the first half of the above sentence is
concerned, the voters who thought Iraq was the most
important issue, agreed with Kerry that the Iraq war
was the wrong war at the wrong time. They voted
overwhelmingly for him(73%) as opposed to Bush(26%).

The above assertion is pure gibberish. It demonstrates
a severe lack of understanding of basic principles of
democracy, as opposed to dictatorship or monarchy.
