Don Bosco hold Carambolim SC
Two strikes in the span of four minutes from Ricardo Cardoz helped Don Bosco Oratory to come from behind and hold Carambolim Sports Club to a 2-2 draw in the Goa Football Association Third Division League match played at Taleigao ground, on Saturday. It was tale of two halves as both the sides displayed team efforts and collective team performance in either half. In the first half, Mayur Shirodkar gave Carambolim Sports Club the lead in the 16th minute before doubling the account in the 45+1 minute, thus completing his brace. Crossing over, Carambolim played a defence game and were at the receiving end as Don Bosco Oratory netted two goals at the hour mark as Ricardo Cardoz netted a brace scoring. In the 63rd and 67th minute. Don Bosco were reduced to 10 man as Leander Athaide received two yellow card.


GFA U14 LEAGUE
Sporting Clube thump CSM Taleigao
Diwakar Chodhary netted a splendid hat-trick in Sporting Clube de Goa's 8-0 win over Clube Sao Miguel de Taleigao at Don Bosco ground, Panjim, on Saturday. The striker scored the first two goals of his team before completing his hat-trick in the second half. The winners led 4-0 at the break. Adrian D'Souza brace was the other highlight of the day as he contributed with two sublime strikes and also assisted the players. Franzel Fernandes, Vishan Kerkar and Ashwin da Costa were the other goal scorers for the winning team. Clube Sao Miguel were no match to their opponents and struggled in the game.


GFA SECOND DIV LEAGUE
Milagres SC win
Milagres Sports Club beat Candolim Sports Club 2-1 in the Goa Football Association Second Division League match played at Sirsaim ground, on Saturday. Milagres Sports Club received no threat in the opening stages of the game as their opponents played in the own half. Taking advantage of the situation, Milagres constantly raided the rival third and were successful in taking the lead in the 25th minute through Valito Miranda. Milagres Sports Club played more of short passes thus maintaining ball possession and deservingly doubled the account through Albino Pereira just minutes before the break. Crossing over Nehal Naik was quick in reducing the margin for Candolim Sports Club but despite their continued efforts, they failed to get the equalising goal.
