Try removing the square brackets from your dateRestrict parameter. I believe 
those are in the documentation to denote the variable to be replaced in the 
value. When I run a request with a dateRestrict value of d1 I get very 
different results from when I try d[1]. At least a few of the results in my 
query are from news sites, which I suspect is more like what you're looking for.
