By "paid account," do you mean that you have a paid Custom Search Engine,
or that you're paying to use the Custom Search API? If you have a paid
Custom Search Engine, you will need to contact CSE support. If you're
paying to use the Custom Search API (i.e., USD5/1000 queries), then the
AJAX APIs Group (exactly what you've been doing) is probably the best bet.
